Nominated and Elected Director Emeritus of SPE DSATS

A great honor reflecting many years of support I have given this important industry organization. I have been a very active participant in the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Drilling Systems Automation Technical Section (DSATS) from soon after its inception (2008). I held the Program Chairman position for many years leading small committees to develop the robust and well attended DSATS Symposiums held in conjunction with the SPE / IADC Drilling Conference and SPE ATCE. Latterly I was active as a board member for 5 years supporting multiple initiatives and sub committees. This March, I timed out with the Constitutional limitation of 5 years for the Board Member Role (designed to enable rotation of participants). I am honored that the nominating committee chose to propose me as a Director Emeritus and the membership approved. I am joining @Fred F as the second Director Emeritus of this prestigious industry organization.
